We created \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.forgemotorsport.co.uk\/Carbon_Fibre_Inlet_Duct_for_BMW_F_chassis_1_Series_2_Series_3_Series_4_Series_5_Series--product--2311.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eFMINLD2\u003c\/a\u003e, a carbon fibre sculped duct to replace the blank, and route more air into the tract towards the airbox. \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eStep 2: Now that this greater quantity of air has entered the airbox, we need a greater surface area of filtration to maximise the airflow towards the engine. Therefore, we decided on a high-flow performance cone filter and used our development of other upper airbox induction kits to inform our design process to create FMINDK55.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eStep 3:The weak link was now the OEM inlet hose with its sound resonator and accordion ribs which cause turbulence and slow down the airflow.
