A few BB build up’s!
Share
As we edge out of winter and into race season, there has been plenty of full builds and rebuilds of our Autograss car’s from all over the country and across the water.
All the way from across the Pond….
The O’Riordan family are keen racers and come over to England to compete in their individual national championships and the British Autograss Series every year. With now 3 members of the family racing, the ‘Racing is in the blood’ saying becomes ever more real. We had the pleasure of having these 2 cars back both equally with large amounts of winning heritage. The Junior Special and the 8 have both had a full strip down, check over, powder coat and some new stickers ready for the attack on the 2022 season, as well as an updated rear end on James’s class 8. James is in his 2nd full season of Men’s class 8 and its safe to say he definitely took to it like a duck to water, qualifying for his first Men’s National Championships last year. The younger generation are also starting to show through. Darragh only just starting his first full season after a few meetings last year. Already though, he took wins throughout his heats and showed so much potential at just 10 years old! A big thank you goes to Alan O’Riordan for his continued support within Team BB and for asking us to complete this job, it is always a pleasure dealing with this family and there loyalty to us never goes un-noticed!
Time for one of our full chassis builds! This time for 2 new customers Matt Owen and Cordeen Barnett. When Matt and Cords approached us last year to purchase a new class 8, we were instantly looking forward to seeing them in a BB chassis. Both making multiple national finals and a few national titles under there belts as well. This car was supplied as a chassis kit to the customer for them to build by themselves and we think they’ve done a great job. The striking McLaren Gulf Livery adds that extra touch of difference to the car as while as the bright white chassis. This is running a Hayabusa engine in the back with up to 180-200bhp. Matt and Cords will be eager to get out there and try something all new to them and we are looking forward to working with them in the future.
2 different styles of the same class? No Problem
Class 10 Chevy Time at BB!!
Over the last couple of weeks Mike has been smashing on with something rare at BB. There are a few Chevy class 10’s around but its been nearly 10 years since we built Ollie Ferniough’s and times have moved on. So here we have an all new BB Chevy class 10 with all the geometry that has proved successful in previous cars we have built. The customer has been racing for a number of years now and decided it was time for a modern change but with a bit power plant. We will do more updates on this as the build rolls on!
Side By Side Class 10
Another class 10 built from scratch is this Side by Side standard K8 GSXR 1000 belonging to Marcus Lewis. This is only the second car to come out of BB with this engine mounting design. The first being Graham’s own car back in 2019 which is still about today up in Scotland. We first introduced this car to you a few weeks ago when it was on the bench being built now after a lovely bright orange powder coat job by Custom Colour Coatings and a wrap done by Chris Prior. We are in the process of building this car up ready for the start of the season and for Marcus’ debut in class 10. Running a full set of BB X Nitron suspension. We enjoy doing something different with individual classes and we are looking forward to seeing Marcus out in this beauty this season.
