Muddy Weekend Away- The return of the Men’s National Championships!

After missing both national championships last year, it was time for the return of the men’s national championships which this year took place in York courtesy of York Autograss Club. On what was a tough weekend for everyone racing and shattered the nerves of family and spectators watching, we were delighted to have lots of qualifiers in various classes to support.

Unfortunately, luck was not on many of our driver’s side’s. However, we did have a few finalists including Marc Paskell who finally had some luck with his engines, but unfortunately got black flagged in the final. Cat Mumford also had a positive weekend but unfortunately did not make it into the final in what is probably the most competitive class in the sport. Darryl Smart also started off well, but ran out of luck and received a black flag in his second run.

We are still looking forward and not forgetting that the nationals is all about luck, and we are proving the cars in Bas and UK championships! We now look forward to the ladies and junior nationals, where its the turn of younger superstars and the ladies to battle it out for that 1st place trophy. We have a lot of our ladies and juniors signed up for this, so we are hoping that luck remains on there side as we look towards it.

Just 4 weeks to go! Check back for more updates soon!
