Nottingham season opener

A brief update on the season opener.

Nottingham is renowned for being one of the most difficult tracks in the country having long straights and tight corners.

It was a great day weather wise Aby-jayde started the season off with a win in her opening race. A gear change problem in the 2 nd heat left Aby back in 5th.

On grid 1 for the final Aby made a great start but with the corner being so tight she soon got swamped and a bit of bumping she ended up back in 5th. Aby-jayde was really happy with the car and understands that you cant win them all however as confidence goes it was a good start to the season

BB had a decent start to the first race was stopped due to a collision but the rerun saw a better gate for me and ended having a good race with long time friend Stu Whitehouse  and finishing 2nd

2nd heat wasn’t as good having a car half spin in front of me and not managing to stop in time wiping out a front arm and only making the c final.

C final was a good run gating a little better i led for 3 laps before the race was stopped we then called it a day.

Team BB was represented very well as usual at notts with debuts for Cat in an older BB making the A final Dave Marsden in his new BB8 and  Mike making the B final but having a few issues dealing with less weight and more power we upped the gearing and the car felt a lot better.

Thanks to all the other team BB members that were there all in all lots learnt and move on to the next meeting.
