LET HER WHISTLE!!!!!

FIAT/BLACKBIRD/TURBO/HOLD ON/COOL AS

After a chance encounter on a social media site, Duncan and Graham put there heads together and came up with a plan to continue Duncan’s dream of finishing his Green machine and turning it in to one heck of a vehicle.

The first stage was to use BB’s collection team to collect the vehicle from Duncan and get it to the workshop to assess exactly what type of job we were taking on ??? Nothing is to big of a job at Team BB however we have a budget to work to and we always make sure it suits all concerned.

PLAN

To remove the rear end, complete from the roll hoop back of the fiat and rebuild frame work to mount a turbo Honda Blackbird Bike engine, Quaife drive system and rear trailing arm suspension system.

We wanted to keep the frame work in keeping with the rest of the roll cage which was a bolt in style roll cage.

We built in to the car a new rear beam to hang the rear trailing arms off to take the weight of the roll hoop and become the centre piece for the strength of the vehicle. To make sure the car was easy to work on we made sure a lot of the bar work in the vehicle above the beam was bolt able making it easy to remove the engine and drive system if needed.

We have supplied a new alloy radiator built in house by our alloy fab shop. We fitted the customers own fuel tank and remade the customers exhaust link pipe. On Duncan’s request we also mounted his pedal box for him. BB also supplied bespoke rear trailing arms, rear discs, rear alloy bearing carriers designed in house by BB, wilwood calipers, stubs and flanges.

All in all this has been a great project to work on and the relationship we have built with Duncan I am sure our partnership will not end here!!!!!!!!
